Maternity, Birth + Newborn

This time of life conjures up so many feelings, the anticipation of what’s to come, the letting go of what has been, the strength it takes to bring a child earthside, and all of the new discoveries once a baby is here. Lehua would be honored to document each step, working together to create a maternity session that feels authentic to your journey, the birth whether it be in a hospital or at home, and life with a newborn once your new rhythms have been planted.

Portraits for casual documentation or marking an important part of your journey. Together we will define the root desire behind these photos and create a session that allows yourself to be seen and photos that reflect where you are and where you want to go.

Family

It’s a privilege to witness to your family’s unique flow— one Lehua looks forward to each year,  as your family grows and shifts. Observing quick gestures, picking up on mannerisms and roles, all in honor of celebrating the here and now, while honoring those who came before us, and gifting a visual history to those who will come after. 

Lehua has experience with children and adults with varying disabilities, and would love to photograph your family without the pressure of time constraints, leaving ample room for needs to be met. Please inquire if taking family photos has felt overwhelming and complex, Lehua would love to work with you to create a session that bears witness to your beautiful family.

End of Life + Transitions

Lehua has completed Death Doula training and offers a compassionate presence in end of life spaces or spaces that are full of grief because of an ending— perhaps a severed relationship, leaving a home, and even changes within the body. Lehua can collaborate with you on which offering would be the most meaningful and useful for you during this time and for the you in the future. This might look like multiple sessions over a span of time, a single session, ceremony coverage, or even working together to use photography as a tool to move through grief. These sessions might take place at home, in a hospital or hospice setting or an alternative space. For immediate needs, please indicate “Urgent” in the subject line when emailing.
